Working and Home

I have been working on a project at work that seems to be never ending. Finding the forms I need on the Internet has been a challenge to say the least. But, it's not the same old grind so it's kind of interesting.  It's funny how getting something accomplished can give you a since of pride. No matter how briefly that joy remains it does help you when you move on to the next task at hand.

I'm happy to say that this weekend Michael hung up the new frames we bought a while ago.  It was my fault that there was a delay. I was being lazy in choosing the photo's I wanted to put in the frames. We have a ton of pictures and I love old photo's as much a new photos.  I also want to make sure I display Michaels family as much as we display my family. I love his family.  I've basically been a part of his family since I was 15. Another thing I caught myself doing is putting loved ones that passed away in the frames. Considering both parents on either side have passed away and I have a brother that passed away not to mention grand parents.  Well you get the drift. We love and miss them all and it's a way to remember them.  I think it turned out nicely.  I will post the before and after photo's and you can tell me what you think. It was cute to watch Michael hang the frames.  He was really particular and it paid off.  He suggested we add the H that is framed above the photo's and it just sets it all off. Well, you will see what I'm talking about.

Right now I am in the process of trying to find a home for my granny Yoho's organ. You know the musical instrument not her actual organ. We just don't have the room and no one in my little family play's the organ.  I am giving my family until this Saturday to claim it but, after that it's either going to a church or to anyone willing to come get it.  If you live close and are interested in a used organ or know of someone or a church that would use it leave a comment or email me at jackiesuehall@gmail.com .  Granny has been gone since May of 2007 so I'm finally ready to let go.  The organ was such a peice of who she was that it will be sad to see it go.  I am thankful that I have the memories of her playing and all of us singing around it over the years I was growing up.  Those are cherished times.

Another reason we are needing to get rid of the organ is because we are planning on having hardwood/laminate flooring put in our living, dinning and kitchen area. Around 975 square feet.  We decided not to do the bed rooms, bathrooms or the tiny hall.  I would show you the before and after photo's but, I'm to embarrasses to take pictures of our carpet in the living area.  Lets just say the dogs have had their way with it.  We are to embarrasses to invite anyone over do to the carpets.  By May we should have beautiful flooring.  Michael has a friend that sales flooring.  After talking to him we have decided to we would much rather help a friend out then just give our money to Home Depot or Lowe's or any other place like that.

Our home is starting to be what it once was and that's a good feeling. Thank you for all of your hard work honey.  It's been noticed and greatly appriciated.  I love you!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Tuesday.

End of Year

The End of this Year just might be the end of me.  I am literally working on two computers with a keyboards and a mouse for each computer.  If I want to work on the accounting program or use my work email I have to use one computer.  If I want to do anything else I am to use the other computer. Try keeping up with all of that fun with your head feels like mush.  Another fun little glitch is that the computer with the accounting information and email information I use the majority of the time will not allow me to use my printer.  I have thankfully found a way around the dilemma by emailing it to another lady in my department and having her print it off.  It slows my work flow down and I'm sure has to annoy her.  I ended up just waiting until she left to get my accounts payables printed.  Don't get me wrong she was supper nice about printing the items for me.  I just know how it is when you are in the middle of billing and get interrupted.

Year end is the busies time of year for me.  I have gotten as much as I can do complete as of right now.  Well, that is until my boss gets with me tomorrow.  I feel bad for him because I am sick and I don't want to pass this crud on to anyone else.  The upside is the musinex and Dayquil helps.  I just have to take it every 4 hours and I feel like I can live for a while longer.  Today has been the best day so far.  The only crummy thing is that it's gotten in my chest.  I'm torn as to weather I should get antibiotics or not.  I hope Dad is able to kick this mess.  Blake has been on antibiotics since last Friday and still isn't 100%.  Of course he let it go for 3 weeks and was working out and staying up late and getting up early for class.  Dad has slept a ton.  He got on his antibiotics on Monday I think.  That is when we knew he needed them.  Poor guy.

Sorry there just isn't much going on right now besides being sick and work.

I hope you are having a better week then our family is.

I hope you have a fantastoc Friday and an even better weekend.

Bad back

One of the things I was worried about this weekend and so much travel is because I have a bad back.  I have five herniated disc's. Three herniated disc's in my lower back and two in my neck. I woke up early Sunday morning and was barely able to walk.  I had to take my medication and turn on my stimulator and by the time I got up I was doing quite a bit better.

When I delivered Blake is when I pushed the vertebra out of my neck.  I felt it pop out.  I had toxemia and high blood pressure and they were giving me medication so I wouldn't have seizures.  I've been having problems with my neck since then.  It used to be just on the right side but now the pain goes down both arms and my pinkie, ring finger and thumb on both hands get numb.  Along with pain in my neck, shoulders and elbows.

I worked at a daycare starting before my Senior year of high school until I graduated.  Then when I got married I worked at a bank after about of year in the general office position I worked in the records department.  After lifting so many heavy things my back started bothering me.  I remember onetime my boss brought in water balloons and I jumped up to get out of the way and when I landed my disc slipped and I dropped to the ground.  Thank God it was a Friday so I had the weekend to recover.  The stinky thing was I had a stick shift and had to drive with my back and neck out.  That was not fun!

The first time my back went out so back that I couldn't walk was after my brother passed away.  I noticed I was dragging my leg but just thought rest would help.  I went to bed right after work one night then got up to get something out of the kitchen and my back went in to a spasms so back I was screaming and immediately dropped to the ground.  I tried for a while to get up but couldn't.  We called my Dr's office and the person on call said the ER wouldn't do anything about it.  So I was on my kitchen floor from ten PM until six thirty am when I finally allowed my husband to call the paramedics.  I was out of work for about a month.  I took pain pills, muscle relaxers and anti inflammatory and when I was able to get up a move a bit I started physical therapy.

The next time my back went out was after my grandpa and cousin passed away.  I think I was out of work for at least a month. again I was on pain pills, muscle relaxers and anti inflammatory and when I was able to get up a move a bit I started physical therapy.

I've been down a week hear and there as the times have gone on.  But this last time I was down  I was in a wheel chair then down where I couldn't walk from October of 2009 and didn't get back to work until mid January 2010.  And then it started out part time.  Even after I came back in January I still had problems walking.  I had to use a walker that has wheels and a seat.  I used it like a wheel chair but would use my legs to move it so they wouldn't get weak. I wasn't able to walk normally again until April of 2010.

My back Dr.  ended up installing a stimulator in my back.  It feels like a message.  If you hit the wrong program or set it to high it can give you quite a jolt. What the stimulator does is block the pain in my lower back.  It doesn't take all the pain away.  It just makes it bearable. I  have several different programs I can chose from depending on where I am hurting and how bad I am hurting.

The stinky thing is I am still having to take medication on a daily basis.  I don't like it but, I have to work so we can meet our bills.  Michael is awesome. He does all he can around the house so that I don't throw my back out.  I couldn't have asked for a better husband.  He spoils me rotten and is beyond patient when I am hurting.  I honestly don't know what I would do without him.

I sure was thankful when I woke up Monday morning with the normal pain and was able to walk.  I never know after a trip how my back and neck will respond. If it wasn't for the medication and the stimulator I think I would have ended up on disability and at forty that would have stunk!  I'm way to young to be confined at home.

Do any of you suffer from some kind of pain or illness?

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
